Google Pixel 6a review
The Google Pixel 6a comes with a 6.1 inches Full HD+ OLED display. The display has a refresh rate of up to 60Hz, it is one of the biggest drawbacks of the smartphone. Now almost every smartphone is coming with a higher refresh rate display than 90Hz. The screen of the display is bright enough and you can clearly watch the content on the display in the shiny outdoor environment. Although it is just a 90Hz refresh display, it feels smoother and more responsive than other smartphones in the same price range. Overall the display experience is decent, it could have been excellent if it had at least a 90Hz refresh rate display.
Now let’s talk about the most important factor of the smartphone. The cameras of the Google Pixel phone are like a soul. The Pixel 6a capture brilliant photos. It comes with dual 12 MP camera sensors on the back that has optical image stabilization on its primary sensor. For selfies, the phone has an 8 MP camera which also captures brilliant photos.
The primary camera of the smartphone captures natural colors, it is capable of taking detailed shots even in low light conditions with enough white balance and contrast details. The smartphone has zero shutter lag although frames take some time to process. The photos taken from the ultra-wide camera also look good although it struggles in default mode.
The Pixel 6a comes with the same Tensor chip which is used in its 6 series smartphones. The chipset is capable of doing some multi-task but it is not enough powerful to be called a powerhouse chipset. You can play all the high-end games, but I’d recommend playing in medium settings. Overall, the Tensor chip is good for most things but you can not play high-end games in high settings smoothly.
The Pixel 6a is powered by a 4410 mAh battery which easily gives a day battery life on a full charge. The smartphone comes with slow charging (max 18W), it almost takes 2 hours to charge the smartphone. An even bigger problem is that the smartphone comes with USB C charging without any charger. You will have to buy it separately. It has no wireless charging which is normal for a mid-end range smartphone.
