Fans of PlayStation have been waiting to get their hands on Sony’s latest gaming console to no avail. From the moment PlayStation 5 was announced, it has been hard to get your hands on it. Every once in a while, the company ships a few units worldwide, but the supply is nowhere near the demand. On December 6, 2021, at 12 PM IST, PlayStation 5 will be available in India for sale.
Even today, it’s nearly impossible to acquire a PS5, as restocks often sell out quickly. With shipping challenges adding to delays, the chip shortage is likely to be at the root of the PS5’s difficulties in being bought. As soon as it was released towards the end of last year, the PlayStation 5 sold out immediately and became one of the most popular devices.
Due to its high demand, its limited availability in retail was inevitable, but no one knew the semiconductor shortage would make it virtually unaffordable for millions of consumers.
In their official statement, Sony has already confirmed that the next-generation Sony console will be available starting December 6. The restock of the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will occur on Monday as previously expected, with Amazon India, Croma, Flipkart, and Reliance Digital among others.
As of December 6, Sony’s official website ShopAtSC.com is listing the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition for pre-order. For Rs. 49,990, the standard edition is available, while the digital edition is available for Rs. 39,990. There’s a good chance both editions will appear on other retailers’ websites as well.
DualSense controller and console are included in the box for players. However, the people who are interested in buying it need to act quickly because as soon as it launches, the stocks will likely end within hours.
